What’s included in a Punta Cana All Inclusive Package? That’s one of the most popular questions that we get, and it’s a valid one. Mainly because the All Inclusive packages varies from region to region. But we at Top Punta Cana Resorts are here to give you the answer to this question.
The Punta Cana All Inclusive
Punta Cana is the most popular touristic destination of the Caribbean. Famous for the beautiful beaches, excellent weather and by it’s famous resorts. Resorts that start in the budget friendly zone to the very expensive Luxury Resorts. And practically all of these resorts are All Inclusive. That brings this question of what’s included in the All Inclusive Package. We are going to give you an idea of what expect when you arrive to your hotel.
This is an easy one: Practically 95% of the food that the resort offers, is included. Most of the resorts have 1 or 2 main restaurants (Buffet), that serves the three main meals of the day. All the food here is included. If you see it, you can have it. That easy.
All of the resorts have a couple of A La Carte restaurants. Practically all of them are included too, but in most cases they only offer dinner. And, with a couple exceptions, you must make reservations for them. In some resorts you might find 1 o 2 of these restaurants with a very special theme or with a special chef, and these won’t be included. But don’t worry, the resort is going to put this very clear during your check in.
In all of the resorts you’ll find snack bars, pizzerias and burger stations that are also included. And most of the resorts include the Room Service, but for this we suggest you to ask first.
Most of it is included, non-alcoholic and alcoholic. Water is available everywhere, most of the time in bottles. Sodas are unlimited. Some resorts offer Coca Cola brands and other offers Pepsi brands. Juices are normally offered during the meals, but consider that most of the resorts don’t have “natural” juice. A limited selection of coffee and tea is available at restaurants and bars. Lately, most of the resorts are adding a coffee shop, and there you can find a much better selection of coffee. So, with non-alcoholic drinks is easy, absolutely everything is included.
With alcoholic drinks things are just a bit more complicated. In general, expect practically everything included. You want a Margarita? It’s included. You want a Piña Colada? Also Included. A Coco Loco? Got it (Seriously, try this one). But there’s a caveat: 99% of the time the alcohol of these drinks is generic branded alcohol. And we must admit that in most of the resorts, it’s just barely decent quality. But if you are drinking a cocktail that is sugary, you won’t notice a difference. Also, the better the resort, the better the quality of the alcohol, but don’t expect too much.
You’ll get all the local beer that you want (Presidente). It’s good in our opinion, but if you are a beer expert you might think different. You will also get regular wine, that it’s ok for meals and dinning.
All the resorts offer “premium” alcohol and you must pay extra for each drink. And in our opinion it’s not worth it. The only exception is a special dinner when you might want a better wine, but that’s all. The rest of the time just drink the included drinks.
At your room you’ll have a small refrigerator with water, a couple beers and some sodas. It’s included and it’ll be replenished daily.
We have a general rule for this: If the activity needs a vehicle that uses fuel, it’s not included. You want to go kayaking? It’s included. You want to go in a Four Wheel adventure? Then you have to pay.
Rock climbing, water games, sport activities, etc. it’s always included. Some resorts have specials venues that are not common in Punta Cana, like a Bowling Alley. In this case you might get a couple of plays included depending the duration of your stay. So we suggest to ask during the check in in this case.
Use of gym, kid’s area, and any facilities that doesn’t offer any extra service is included. But if you need a babysitter, per example, you’ll need to pay an extra fee.
Another easy one that doesn’t require too much explanation: absolutely none of them are included.
All the daily and nightly entertainment is included. You can join any of the activities that is performed by the staff of the resort. You can enter any show that the resort offers.
Almost all of the resorts include a small Disco, that’s included with all the drinks. We think that in most of the cases, these discos are pretty lame. If you really wan’t to have some fun, you’ll have to leave the resort and go to some of the big Clubs that are located in big resorts, as Oro Nightclub at the Hard Rock. Also Coco Bongo is a great choice, located in Downtown Punta Cana. Obviously, not included in your package.
As a general rule, don’t expect the Spa to be included. Some resorts might include the use of the Jacuzzi or the Steam Rooms, but this varies between the resorts and we suggest to ask before or during your stay. Massages, treatments or any special activity is not included.
Special Packages Note
Almost all of the resorts offer a special package for an extra cost, that include access to exclusive areas of the beach, pools and restaurants. If you don’t have that package, you can’t access those areas. But in general, these are small areas reserved for those guests, and most of the resort is open for the rest of the guests.
And that’s all, and as you can see, it’s very easy to know what to expect of the All Inclusive packages in Punta Cana after reading this. We hope that this can help you to have an idea of what’s included in all the Punta Cana All Inclusive Packages.
